Front End Web Developer

We create exceptional websites and apps and seek an experienced front end web developer to join our team. To work on projects for F2B Digital and F2B Sites (part of F2B Digital).

This role requires somebody with at least two years of relevant commercial front end web development experience, preferably in an agency environment.

This is a remote working role, with occasional face-to-face meetings and requires somebody located in the UK who is happy to travel to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk for this.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build the front-end of websites, primarily in WordPress
  • Hand coding of websites and email templates, using HTML and CSS
  • Assist with website maintenance and website optimisation
  • Working with others in the team, performing reviews and testing

Other Responsibilities

  • Discuss website builds and functionality with others, including clients
  • Build of front-end app UIs (using XAML or Blazor) – training will be provided
  • Assist with design amends for websites, mobile apps and web-based systems

Necessary Skills

  • Solid ability to produce well-built websites that closely reflect the design and provide a great user experience.
  • Good working knowledge of WordPress, including Gutenberg
  • Front-end build coding skills (HTML, CSS)
  • Knowledge and experience in ensuring builds comply with basic accessibility rules and are optimised for SEO
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Eye for detail and for creating exceptional results
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Proactive with suggesting improvements to processes and techniques
  • Good quality English language skills, particularly written content

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience of remote working
  • Proficient in front-end scripting (e.g. Javascript, jQuery)
  • Experience of using task management systems (e.g. ClickUp, Jira or similar) and logging time
  • Creative ability to think outside the box to solve problems
  • Skills in using Adobe XD or Figma and Photoshop or similar
  • Detailed knowledge of accessibility (e.g. WCAG)
  • Knowledge of building app UIs using XAML or Blazor
  • Knowledge of optimising websites for performance
  • Detailed on-page technical SEO knowledge
  • Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Git
  • Proactive with suggesting improvements to approach and processes
